I am the owner of Paws & Claws Pet Salon. I've been grooming for about 30 years,
and I love what I do. I used to breed and show Shih Tzus. I specialize in grooming
Poodles, Shih Tzus and Schnauzers. I also enjoy grooming small to medium sized designer
and mixed-breeds. Most of my clients are on a pre-book maintenance program.
I am the exclusive groomer for Seattle Poodles. In addition to dog grooming, I also
clip cat's toenails and have many regulars who come in for toenail trims only.
I've groomied dogs for over 16 years (trained by Janet Wade). I enjoy getting to know
pets and their owners and have become a helpful resource for many. I most enjoy grooming Shih
Tzus and Yorkies, but also love Bichons and Gordon Setters. I know that's a wide variation,
but I especially enjoy scissor work on Bichons and have always admired the Gordon Setters.
I am skilled at calming dogs who are afraid of grooming and helping them relax and get
comfortable with us. I'm sometimes referred to as the "shop dog whisperer" because
I am good at easing tension and anxiety. I've bred and shown Shih Tzus at
AKC dog shows.

My favorites are Yorkies, Poms, Doxies and Chihuahuas. I am the only cat groomer for Paws
and Claws, and I specialize in dry shaves (based on cat age and temperament),
which is an in & out service (while you wait), making it less stressful for you and
I've been grooming for about 10 years. The dogs I work on are like my pets away from
home. I get to know and love their personalities. I have a lot of patience and can work
with nervous or excited dogs. I enjoy working with a variety of breeds; large and small,
I'll groom them all.
